“A traditional church beckons to souls from afar”. This is a wonderful occasion to show support for the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest which has done so much to preserve this beautiful Church and continues to do so. The people of St. Francis de Sales Church in St. Louis are blessed to be part of such a wonderful community.
Those of us who live many miles away and will not be there for this celebration offer our prayers and will continue to donate towards the restoration project and spread the word.
May God bless you all!

Wouldn't it be great if this kind of event turned out to be the beginning of a Catholic culture revival in this city? Wouldn't it be great if our festive celebration were once again tied to our faith and rooted in tradition? Celebrating saints and learning from their examples is a good thing that Catholics could share with the culture at large. How about calling this King Saint Louis Day?

I think events like this are a little taste of heaven on earth--not to sound overly dramatic. The synthesis of the Holy Mass handed down through the ages, worshipping God with the best we have, and then living out that faith in charity with our fellow members of Christ's Body-- this is a great example of how being Catholic permeates everything we are. It is just an example of why the spirituality of the Institute is so compelling. We are a family here together, and the joy of such a celebration is a great reminder of the importance of keeping this oratory alive and growing.
